The Brief
Save the Children is a global organisation that gives a powerful voice to children around the world and champions their rights. Their work tackles all issues affecting children including access to health and education, saving lives in a disaster, stopping climate change and protecting children from harm. In 2018 Save The Children directly reached more than 40 million children in 116 countries.
Save The Children Investment Fund have recently secured $6m of the $10m target funding – and sufficient to start identifying potential investment targets. The funds investments are for purpose organisations that can deliver a proven social outcome and also provide value back to the Save The Children organisation. Edtech is seen as a market segment with opportunities for investment but more needs to be understood about what Edtech organisations would be suitably aligned for the Impact Fund’s goals.
On this research project, students are tasked with:
- Research the needs and drivers of Ed tech entrepreneurs (the customers) so the impact fund (the product) can better attract and close investment opportunities.
- Research the adoption of Ed tech innovations by target customers so the fund can better assess investment opportunities / coach the entrepreneurs along their journey once they’ve invested

With 15+ years of Product, Design and UX experience including numerous start-up and enterprise successes with global brands, some say Nima knows a thing or two about designing products that people want.
After a decade of mastering his craft, in 2017 Nima co-founded ‘We Discover’ a customer-centric digital agency focused on creating meaningful experiences and after creating a multimillion-dollar business in under 3 years he took his next big challenge, becoming the Chief Product Officer in 2020 at an emerging prop-tech company. He aimed to prove that a 100% customer-centred approach will deliver the most desired and profitable product to market irrespective of how “old and resistant to change” the industry is.
Nima has extensive experience and skill in business and product strategy, understanding human behaviours and desires and knowing how to merge it all to find the best product-market fit.
